Georgie, a 12-year-old girl living by herself after the death of her mother, finds her secretive life knocked off-kilter when her estranged father, Jason, turns up from his life in Ibiza and forces her to confront reality.
The film premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize for the World Cinema Dramatic Competition.

Director Charlotte Regan said that the Limes Farm housing estate in Chigwell was chosen for because of the "sense of community, where all the balconies look out on to where the kids play." Because, she said, "you don't get [those estates] in London much any more" the filmmakers had to "go a little bit further out to look for it
