At the start of this academic year, Aspire Academies Trust decided they would have 'The Arts' as a key focus. They felt that the children had missed out a great deal during the pandemic, in terms of the arts and creative learning opportunities.

One of the projects agreed on was a cross-Trust Art exhibition, involving all six schools. Through the art curriculum, the principle was to encourage all children to explore art and to enjoy being creative, regardless of whether or not they felt they were 'good' at art. Every child's art would be different and would stand out for very different reasons. The desire was the exhibition would demonstrate the process involved and not just the final product.

The theme was based around Time Travel, but with nature at its heart. Within this, the work of different artists was studied and used as models for the children. The children used a wide range of skills, media and materials in their work and the results were fabulous.
