About Clara Croft: Rune Trader
A Tomb Raider spoof, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the cult video game Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
This fast-paced theatrically-inventive solo show takes the audience on a cartoon physical-theatre style action-packed adventure filled with ancient mystery, supernatural influences, a sprinkle of subtly-placed feminism, and a lot of laughs.
After her two closest friends are kidnapped, Clara is forced on a mission to steal the ancient Amulet of Isis – a quest that takes her to Italy, then Egypt via helicopter, plane, motorbike, submarine and more! To the Pyramids and beyond!
Can this adrenaline-fuelled adventure be told using only five crates and a ladder? You bet it can!
Created in collaboration with The Old Town Hall and Central Standard Theater, Kansas City, USA.
