The lineup
Lincoln Shaw: 8pm - 8:30pm
Lincoln Shaw, AKA Mike Long is a gifted musician and teacher at the Purcell School of Music, currently living in Chesham. For the past few years, Mike has been quietly crafting a deeply personal song cycle, a musical journey rooted in his homeland of Nova Scotia, Canada. These songs explore the meaning of leaving home, the echoes of past relationships, and the emotional landscapes we carry with us.
Many Bats: 8:45pm - 9:15pm
Many Bats are a four-piece rock/pop outfit from St Albans, UK, delivering razor-sharp hooks, ragged melodies, and stripped-down songs that feel both timeless and tightly wound. Formed in 2024, the band channels the raw energy of CBGB-era New York, garage sensibility, the emotional weight of Americana, and the infectious grooves of classic power pop—all tied together with a DIY ethos and a touch of comic book flair.
Their music has been compared to The Velvet Underground, Big Star, Television, early Talking Heads, Blondie, X, and even The Pixies, thanks to their unexpected left turns and melodic sophistication beneath the grit. Many Bats take everything that’s ever been on the radio, smash it into a lo-fi blender, and serve it back with attitude and a wink.
Good Time Locomotive (GTL): 9:30pm - 10pm
A London-based alt pop/rock band, blending shimmering synths, funky bass, driving drums, and heartfelt vocals to create emotion-packed music about identity, hope, and resilience. Influenced by The 1975 and Don Broco, GTL fuse the spirit of the 80's / 90's with a modern edge, connecting across generations both live and on record.
