We are thrilled to announce that Dyad Productions are now a resident theatre company at The Old Town Hall. Founded by Rebecca Vaughan, Dyad Productions is known for their unique and imaginative approach to classic literature, and we are excited to see what they will bring to our stage.

The Old Town Hall is a beautiful and historic building, originally built in 1852 and was renovated to create a modern, flexible performance space in 1978. We are dedicated to bringing high-quality theatre, music and comedy to the Hemel Hempstead area, and having Dyad Productions as our resident theatre company is a significant step towards achieving this goal.

Dyad Productions has already announced their first show at The Old Town Hall, a new production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, which is set to run from the end of November 2023. A Christmas Carol is a timeless classic that tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly old man who is visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve. Through their intervention, Scrooge learns the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of generosity and kindness. It is a heart-warming tale that is sure to delight audiences.

Dyad Productions' adaptation of A Christmas Carol promises to be a fresh and innovative take on the story. Taking inspiration from Dickens’ original performances of his own work and utilising the brilliant narrator of the novel to bring the story to life, the piece is performed by Andrew Margerison (Frantic Assembly’s Fatherland, Macbeth), and directed by Dyad’s Creative Director, Rebecca Vaughan.

In addition to their upcoming production of A Christmas Carol, Dyad Productions has a long history of creating innovative and thought-provoking theatre. The company is known for their solo shows, including A Room of One's Own, Christmas Gothic, Austen’s Women, I, Elizabeth and Female Gothic.
