Our Brave Journey

An audio described dance performance created for Dance Re:Ignite 2022

Earlier this year in May The Old Town Hall hosted the team from Dance Re:Ignite to perform their piece Our Brave Journey which was followed by a workshop lead by Louise White.

Everyone had a great time watching the show and taking part to learn some new dance skills with Louise and now you have the opportunity to see the show for yourself. We hope you enjoy the work and if you want to learn more about the team please keep reading below.

Dance Re:Ignite is a project in Hertfordshire with the vision that all adults have the opportunity to dance – that is, the chance to learn new skills, increase a sense of belonging and enjoyment through dance. Dance Re:Ignite want to challenge preconceptions and assumptions about who takes part in dance.

The project has involved 5 local dance artist, 43 volunteers who have performed and led workshops for 70 community groups across 6 towns, both in person and online and that has got over 1000 people actively taking part in dance, many who would not normally have access to dance activity.
